This Privacy Policy explains how OPUS.Z ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the OPUS.Z website and platform (the "Platform"). We aim to keep this simple and honest.

1. Introduction

OPUS.Z is a platform that connects Taiwan's top classical musicians with clients seeking performances and teaching. To make that work, we collect some information about the musicians and clients who use the Platform. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

• Account details — your name, email address, and password when you register.
• Musician profile — biography, instruments, qualifications, location, photos, recordings, videos, availability, and contact details you choose to add, including any social media links (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube).
• Client details — information about you and your event when you make an enquiry or booking.
• Messages — the content of messages you send to other users or to us through the Platform.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical data such as your device type, browser, and approximate region.
• Usage data such as the pages you view and actions you take, collected through analytics tools.

3. How we use your information

• To create and manage your account.
• To display musician profiles publicly so that clients can discover and contact them.
• To enable enquiries, messaging, and bookings between clients and musicians.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Platform.
• To send you service-related and, where you have opted in, promotional communications.
• To comply with legal obligations and protect against fraud or misuse.

4. When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Platform:

• With other users. A musician's profile (and the public information on it) is shown to clients and visitors. When a client and musician communicate, the information each chooses to share is visible to the other.
• With service providers who help us run the Platform — for example hosting, database, authentication, email, and analytics providers — who may process data on our behalf.
• For legal reasons — where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights and safety of users.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as your language choice), and understand how the Platform is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.

6. Where your data is stored

The Platform is built on Google Firebase (Firestore, Storage, and Authentication) and is served through Cloudflare. Your data may be stored and processed on servers operated by these providers, which may be located outside Taiwan, including in the United States. We rely on these providers' security measures together with our own to protect your information.

7. International users

OPUS.Z is operated from Taiwan, but the Platform can be used from the United States and elsewhere, and many of our musicians live abroad. If you access the Platform from outside Taiwan, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in Taiwan and in the countries where our service providers operate.

8. Your rights & choices

• You can view and update most of your information directly in your account dashboard.
• You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, subject to legal limits.
• You can unsubscribe from promotional emails at any time using the link in those emails.

9. How long we keep data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Platform, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Copies may remain in backups for a reasonable period.

10. Children

The Platform is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
