Welcome to OPUS.Z. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the OPUS.Z website, platform and related services (together, the "Platform"). By creating an account, browsing, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
OPUS.Z is a platform that connects Taiwan's top classical musicians with people and organisations looking to hire them — for live performances, events, and teaching. We are operated from Taiwan. Our mission is to help outstanding performers build their reputation and find performance and teaching opportunities, and to help clients discover and engage the right musician with confidence.
The Platform is available in both English and Chinese, and may be accessed from Taiwan, the United States, and elsewhere. Many of the musicians featured live and work internationally.
OPUS.Z is an intermediary. We provide the tools that let musicians present themselves and let clients find and contact them. When a client and a musician agree to work together, that engagement — including the performance or lessons, the schedule, the artistic content, and the conduct of both sides — is an agreement between the client and the musician.
OPUS.Z is not the employer, agent, or representative of any musician, and is not itself a party to the agreement between a client and a musician unless we expressly say so in writing. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any engagement arranged through the Platform.
The Platform may let clients send enquiries, request quotes, exchange messages, and arrange engagements with musicians. The specific terms of each engagement — repertoire, duration, location, cancellation, and similar matters — are agreed directly between the client and the musician.
You agree to communicate honestly and not to use the Platform to deceive, harass, or take advantage of other users.
The fee and payment structure for the Platform is currently being finalised. The full terms — including how prices are set, how payments are processed, and any applicable cancellation and refund conditions — will be published here before they apply to any booking.
Musicians and teachers are responsible for their own taxes on the amounts they receive.
You keep ownership of the content you upload — your photos, recordings, biography, and other materials ("Your Content"). By uploading Your Content, you grant OPUS.Z a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, and use it for the purpose of operating, presenting, and promoting the Platform and your presence on it. You can remove Your Content at any time, though copies may remain in backups for a reasonable period.
You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights. The OPUS.Z name, logo, design, and software belong to OPUS.Z and may not be copied or used without our permission.
You agree not to:
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, OPUS.Z disclaims responsibility for the conduct, content, or performance of any user, and for the outcome of any engagement arranged through the Platform.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, OPUS.Z will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, and our total liability relating to the Platform is limited to the amount of fees you paid to OPUS.Z in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the Platform, or where we are required to do so by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive (such as content licences, disclaimers, and governing law) will continue to apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws of your place of residence provide otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
